I know this is a long way off but just for discussion at the moment, with 2017 being the Cessna company's 90th birthday would anyone fancy a GB to mark this? Although there is not a massive amount of choice there is still quite a few different Cessna models out there. Airfix's Bird dog and 02 Skymaster, And a reasonable choice of 150/152, 170/172 etc kits out there. I have Monograms 1/40-something Cessna 180 to go at. Aurora did a Cessna 210 (I missed out on one on evilbay recently  . Then there are the jets, The A37/T37 trainer/coin aircraft and the Citation biz-jet.
The inimitable 150/152 has been pilot maker to the world since about the mid 60's and is still going strong and I'm sure quite a few members here have flown in these old unsung workhorses.
So how about it?.

All the best.

Greg

Timing dependent.
I have a 152 172 kit and the decals for the one I learned in although sometime between now & then I ought to check if I have started already.

Not a bad idea Greg - I always enjoyed working on Cessna aircraft and over the years I worked on:

140, 150/152, 170, 172 (various types), 172RG, 177, 177RG, 180, 182, 185, 206, 210, 303, 310, 337, 421.

I think one of the hardest jobs I ever had was changing the bag fuel tanks in the wings of a 421.

I'll be in - I'll have to see what kit I can find.

Cheers

Stuart

Nice one guys. If this goes ahead it'll certainly make for some lesser seen builds on here.

All the best.

Good idea Greg. It's certainly worth commemorating a 90th anniversary and it would give us a chance to build something a bit different. I have a Bird Dog and would love to build an O2 or Dragonfly. I would really love to build a Cessna 185 in South African markings. Does anyone make a 1/72 kit of a Cessna 185?

Cool. With luck we'll have enough for this one to go ahead. This is one I will certainly be looking forward to. It will be nice to see some civil aircraft built too. I would like to get markings for Mathias Rust's Moscow bound Cessna but I doubt anyone does then, especially in 1/72.

All the best.
