Tim's Silver Spit Blitz **Finished**

Post by TimJ »

My third Blitz of the month will be the Heller Spitfire XVI.

Image

To speed up the painting I'll be using a Halfords rattlecan for the silver finish.

One hour in and the interior, along with some other parts, have been painted.

I should have some parts stuck together by the next update. Meanwhile here's the next tune, introduced by a certain Sid Snot.

A proper Blitz kit. Excellent choice and good start.

That's what I thought OT.

Two and a half hours in and the fuselage has been closed up and the wings fitted.

It looks like I'll need a bit of filler but overall the fit is very good.

Back to the rocking now with a bit of Dio. Image

At the mere thought of silver themed music... I instantly started humming a certain David Soul number!!

Good progress with the spit too.

Four hours in and filling and sanding is under way. It shouldn't take too long.

Thanks Fred. Filling and sanding complete and a partial coat of grey primer.

I'll probably post one more update this evening and get back to it tomorrow morning.

There was a bit more filling and sanding than I thought but it is done now and a couple more coats of grey primer applied.

The prop has been assembled and undercarriage parts painted.

That's all for tonight, more tomorrow.
