It wouldn't surprise me if that was the case - I can certainly think of two aircraft with those circular oil coolers that might have been used for reference.

Well, this is interesting....!

I was painting some bits and pieces of the Spitfire when I started to ask myself: "Where are the wheels?"

Then, while I was painting the spinner, I thought to myself: "I haven't seen the propeller."

I've checked the box, I've checked the bin (just in case!), and I've checked everywhere I can think of, but no sign of it.

From this photo, which shows all the parts that were there, I've come to the conclusion that they were never there in the first place!

Image

Not amused. I know it's probably my own fault for not checking, but it's a rather glaring omission!

ARSE!! :frown:

Not funny, looks like you're missing two small rectangular sprues with two wheel halves and two blades on each. Bad packing or was the kit already opened?

Nope, the box was sealed, the plastic bags in it were sealed.

I've sent an e-mail to the supplier, so fingers crossed.

Darn. Was just going to offer my spare prop but your kit is 1/32 mine is 1/24. The Vb Spit I am doing for this GB seems to have two propellers and spinners, maybe the kit is the old Mk.I?. Anyway, pointless to rattle on!!.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Thanks for the offer, Marky. I have that same kit, so have the same spares you do!

Iggie - cheers for that. I've e-mailed the shop on eBay, so maybe they'll fix me up with a replacement. If not, it's Revell for spares, although I've heard they can be a bit.... slow!

Cheers for that, GF. I'll see what the seller says first, then have a nose at those parts!

Your contract is with the shop; don't let them fob you off with telling you to go to Revell spares (by all means go to Revell as well, but keep on at the seller to resolve the problem!)
Best wishes

The shop has got back to me, saying that they will try to replace the part themselves, or liaise with Revell.

So, fingers crossed again!
