i'll give that a try when i start my next rigging job, only thing different i could add is i tend to use a dab of water to get the glue to set quicker, tis cheaper than setting agents and tends to work just as well

I didn't know that and I'll definitely be trying it. My zipkicker has been quite unreliable lately.

I'm not sure if modern superglues are the same (but it seems to work on my gorilla super glue gel) but it was designed to go off quick with contact to damp human skin for field medics to use on wounds. We use superglue in archery to create knocking points on the string, rolling the bead of glue with damp fingers made it go off pretty much immediately

Yes, Gorilla Glue is different that way.

Very nice guide, VV.

What gauge invisible thread are you using?

I don't think my glue is water accelerated but I'm going to try making up a solution of sodium bicarbonate and see if that works. I expect it should.

I don't know, sorry. It doesn't say on the packaging.

Update: (again): I've switched back to using elastic thread but Uschi/Mig/AK 0.02mm, not EZ line (still too thick).

I use the tape spacing method for one end of the rigging line now and tend to freehand the other end. The rigging lines will twist around each other if I secure both ends by my original method and it's a nightmare to unravel them. Leaving them free is better.

This Strutter shows an example.
