Nice one, Ralph, it looks like the build it first approach to biplane building is working well for you so far!

Thanks.

Finished rigging the wings of the I-5. Just need a few lines on the tail. The way light is hitting these things looks funny in this photo. Part shiny, part black.

That's an excellent bit of rigging, Ralph, nice and tight looking and very neat.

I like the interior that you did looks very good. What techniques did you use?

How do you do a wash?

Michael, here is a link to a nice video that explains how washes are done.

Darn! Thought I'd finish this thing today. The two halves of the spinner don't fit well, and I need to add the pitot (or whatever the hollow tube is, at it's center. A few touches of paint here and there are still needed too. I won't weather it, as I think the head of the Soviet Airforce's personal aircraft would halve been kept pretty clean....at least until he was purged.

I don't know if he was.

I have finished the I-5, but I'm finding it difficult to photograph. The bright red is really washing out most images, and I'll need to play around with various setups before I get pictures for the final reveal photos.

Of the 20 or so I took today, these are the least bad :)

Nicely finished. Your prop looks suitably wooden.

Now what to work on next? Soooooo many choices. Something with a single wing though.
