Holy Pageturners! I haven't updated this since April and fell back to page 3.....!

Here's the Airfix Defiant that I didn't quite get done for the BoB GB:

Not the best photos - it gets dark so early now that I can only really take outdoor shots on the weekend.

A nice little kit - typical new Airfix but with slightly better panel lines. No real issues aside from the overly thick wing trailing edges.

Sweet. Worth waiting for. Is that a light exhaust stain that I see? How did you do that?

Cheers, guys.

Weathering powders - a mix of 'Dust' and black, though I think I didn't add enough black to this one - just lightly streaked on with a small soft brush.

Do you then put a sealant over it, Paul?

That is an excellent Defiant Paul. The weathering powders have done the trick to give some light exhaust staining, the last time I carried out staining was using my airbrush and I found it quite difficult and stressful to say the least. I'm also interested in whether you have "fixed" the powders in any way, or will you just be careful how you handle the model from now on? I must admit, that the problem of sealing is what has largely put me off using powders for weathering - I think great care has to be taken, for instance if using varnish coats, to avoid smudging.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Work is the curse of the modelling classes!
