Built OOB and finished with Tamiya acrylics. A very nice kit although the tracks are pretty poor.

The wear and tear on that Stummel looks amazing. Very nice work!

Another excellent build from you Paddy, very nicely painted, weathered and photographed. The last Tamiya half-track I built was the old SdKfz 7 a few years ago and I well remember the tracks. They were pants. No detail on the inner faces and made from a rubber that defied all of my glues except two-part epoxy resin, which finally persuaded them to join together and to stick to the upper surfaces of the road wheels in order to impart some sag.

Thank you very much. I'm happy to share.
The kit was primed and given a black pre-shade.
The dark yellow was sprayed next, in progressively lighter shades.
Then the green was masked to give a hard edge and also sprayed using a lighter shade for the central areas.
The chipping was dabbed on using small pieces of sponge and a number 1 brush.
Streaking was done with oil paints, as was the pin wash.
Finished off with Mig weathering powders in various shades.

Hope that makes sense :)

Paddy what and excellent job all round. The paintwork is just amazing and you have managed to make it feel as though its made of steel instead of plastic with the finish, if you know what I mean. Just amazing. I agree about the vinyl tracks. I hate playing around with them. I use thick CA glue to attach them but the main problem I have is that I am allergic to the glue so I have to use it outside unless I use the odourless stuff. Anyway mate just superb work and I look forward to your next project.
