This is fast. You might've been finished by now if you'd delayed inhaling the Jaffa Cakes.

Ok progress started again about 2 hours ago but I've been trying to figure out a sane way of making a heads up display.
I did it but Im not sure how its turned out so as soon as the PVA around the canopy has dried Ill tank a pic.

I like the clear plastic idea but find that type of plastic hard to work with.

What colours are you going for.

You could have left it unpainted and said it was Wonder Woman's invisible plane!

Splash me and SWMBO were just saying the same!
Even primer has been found to run on this plastic.
With regards to a scheme Im still unsure.
I was going for an RAF scheme but im unsure.
I may just go for a red and white trainer scheme or go for a low viz grey scheme what do you think would suit this?

Ok so this is the last update for tonight.
The HUD is in, canopy is masked and PVA'd on and the primer is on!

Ill restart at 3pm tomorrow so its no more.than 12 hours between each session.

Haha I hadn't thought about that James!

Looks terrific and so quick. That clear plastic is a bit odd though.

Low viz greys or trainer colours would look good, come to think of it almost any colours would look good.

Thanks guys, I'd be tempted in the old RAF FTS red and white colours but with me using model air masking is a bit of an issue due to the paint still being soft if used on a blitz.

Another start that I missed! soz about that. Looking back over the blitz so far, this is looking very good indeed. Although the old red/white/grey trainer scheme is one of my favourites and no doubt would look great on this, the Zlin doesn't look vastly different to a S.A. Bulldog which always looked good in the scheme IMHO, it calls for a lot of masking. I agree, there could be issues with masking tape lifting the paint if there has been insufficient drying time.

Nice stuff here. The RAF FTS would look sharp.
