Nice work on the Hurricane, it's always good to see a bit of proper modelling going on!
Have a great time at your club weekend 👍
Best wishes

Jim

Nice work, Markus.
I have used at least one of these paper cockpits before, and it is quite acceptable. I must remember that I have a few more!

Cheers,

time for an update:
I have to admit that I enjoyed socialising for the past 3 weeks over modelling!
it feels so good, that now, finally, the pandemic is on hold / does a break, from getting on our nerves, for a while -
at least here, now life feels more like in the good ol´times, before the covid mess!
The model is so far advanced, that I´m sure, that I can make the deadline after returning from my hols on the 10th :-)
Image

here you can see, that I used parts from a MB Hurri (the colour is a giveaway....), and from an Airfix Hurri I/II/IV, for a different look

the holes where the cannons were sposed to fit, were filled with plastic rod: this is becoming an 8-gun Sea Hurri Mk I:

I´ll watch this GB while I´m away, to watch all you guys progress with your WIPs :) ...and cheer from the sidelines

Sorry, no news about Splash's seabird yet :-(
At least for a while, I enjoy the company of people more than fondling plastic.
I hope I'm just going thru some phase.
Sooner or later, I'll find out, that plastic dont talk back at ye, and behaves much sweeter, than most people do

That Hurricane is looking good Markus. Like Iggy, I'd never heard of paper cockpits but must say it looks pretty good.
Cheers, Neale.

errrr - has it been 1 1/2 years since my last post?
I dont spend so much time on modelling anymore, I´m in a phase where I prefer to meet up with people, over sitting at the bench (most of times....)
The last weeks have seen more interest in modelling, just to get some relief from the pressure at work.
So, I got a 1960ies tooling of an Airfix Jet Provost T3 on my hands
I´m priming it right now, so I finally see a finished model from CP in the near future :-)

Thank you both for your "welcome back"!
I´m actually sticking to the Jet Provost right now, no distraction to other kits at this moment (fingers crossed.... :) )
Preparing for the 1st colour, which is goin to be light aircraft grey

I chose a generic light grey spray from a DIY handcraft store for RAF light aircraft grey, I think (hope?) it´s close enugh to the real colour

canopy frames got masked, I´ll put the 1st layer on tonight

the free time Easter offers me, give me a great opportunity, to finally finish my half-finished Jet Provost.
I unmasked the canopy, some of the grey ripped off, but nothing some little touching-up wont fix.
Getting ready for the second colour on the JP, some red will go on it, here and there - pix soon
