As an OOB build and a lack of concern about accuracy does make it a simple build for me
I have rubbed it back, primed it, rubbed it back and primed again so it still looks the same just smoother.

What do you prime with, pls? I use an acrylic primer mostly. it is good but it doesn't sand brilliantly well.

Re: Splash’s Mister Craft Hunter
I normally use Tamiya Primer as it goes on smooth and is self levelling but for this build I’m trying a cheaper primer that I picked up in a hardware shop. So far I’m impressed it goes on well with excellent coverage and and didn’t run.dwomby wrote:What do you prime with, pls? Looks good, I just use Halfords Grey Primer, (not the plastic primer) but I'm often building small intricate models where a rattle can is not appropriate and having a airbrush-able lacquer primer is a must.

Re: Splash’s Mister Craft Hunter
Sorry guys I gave it a coat of Extra Dark Sea Grey and white, this has highlighted how really bad the shape of the nose of this kit is. Just test fitting the canopy makes it even worse.
I can’t go on any further with this kit it’s just too bad to build OOB.
This one is going in the bin.

Based on your build Alan, I suspect my one of these may well follow yours!
Best wishes

Hey! Don't feel bad.
I am too far gone with my kitbash to stop now, but two more ZTS Plastyk Mk.6 kits are headed for freebie disposal.
Cheers,
David

That's such a shame after all the work you have put in. how about offering it up in the disposals section?. someone may give it a good home.
All the best.
