Not sure what the problem is Fozzy. Maybe a pm to James Perrin expalining what's happening when you try to post. He's our techie expert.

All the best

Greg.

I hope it is. I am amazed at the work going into this. That ball turret is a work of art all by itself.
Out of curiosity when this masterpiece is complete are you planning another similar build?

All the best.

Thanks Greg.......yes I always have something on the go.....as for similar?...well I'll know when I am 3/4s the way through this build as that's the time that I look forward to starting something new!

Any way.... Hi there chaps

Been a while since I last posted due to the fact that Spring is here and every year I have to fix house problems tend to the garden etc etc also add to the mix that this turret build is pretty complicated!

I have a method in scratch building this turret now and that is to build it in layers!...from the top of the ammo cans to the next piece of equipment and then the next layer would be another part of the system to the next part and so forth. ....because of the amount of stuff that's packed into the ball its the only way I seem to be able to do it!

So here is the next layer!.....

As you can see all the white parts are the detail that I have added since my last post.......

This shot is looking in through the gunners hatch.........

So with a bit of paint added here is what it looks like so far........

So now I have to put another layer of detail on....probably the last bit hopefully!...then I can get on with the Radio room!

Thanks for looking in

Cheers

More complete awesomeness. Stunning work. I wish I had a tenth of your talent, I'd be 100 times better at this game than I am now.
And I would stop procrastinating about building one of the three scratch projects I want to do.

All the best.

Nothing on the level you are working on. They are.
Cessna 140.
ALON Ercoupe.
DH Chipmunk.
All in 1/32, or 1/24 if I am feeling brave.

All the best.

I will do, watching your build is plenty of inspiration. The summer is coming up though. And my 1/1 scale Cessna and Ercoupe projects are crying for some attention. But at least I have good references for the scratch builds.

All the best

Greg
