A little bit of progress on the Hurricane. Decals and matt coat on - just some tidying up of the cockpit framing to do post removing the masking tape. Overall I'm reasonably pleased with the Humbrol paints and I'll probably use them on my future Desert Air Force builds.



I've also made some progress on the C-130. Engines on, U/C fitted and some light grey painted on the undersides.





I also picked this up from the LMS today on a whim, should be a good kit to have a first go at rigging (as there's hardly any!)

LOL! It has some rigging! Okay, only the centre section and the wheels, but it's a start!

I think so - its all his fault! Actually there have been a lot of good biplane builds on here that have inspired me somewhat. Much the same as all the fantastic small scale armour builds has got me itching to do more myself.

Good call on the control lines. I need to do some more research as the rigging guide isn't that clear. Tbh I'll just be glad if I get those three wings on right!!!!

The Revell Dr.1 is a nice little kit, as I recall. Better than the Eduard version, which doesn't look right in the undercarriage department.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the DR1 Stuart. It's tiny but a lovely little kit. Are you planning a 'Red Baron' version or something else? The streaky camo is nice.

Oh I think it'd be rude not to do the Red Baron's aircraft. But I haven't really got that far yet. I (probably) won't start this until I have the Hurricane or the C-130 off the bench though, as four projects at once maybe pushing it, even for me lol!

"Four projects?" I hear you ask - well yes I say, I still have that Airfix Starter Set Hawk T.1 I'm building too (although I haven't actually touched it since the start of the C-130 GB).



I also glued on all the little antenna etc. on the Herky-Bird last night, along with the engine cowl flaps. I also assembled the wheels. I've got to start on the resin props soon which I'm not looking forward too!
