Here’s a question for anyone to answer.

What color would the u/c Wells be painted? I’ve looked all over the internet and found a pale interior green, a pinkish tan, and white. I’d like to be as close as possible for G-BORD but can’t find a specific picture that shows the wells interior. Any clues??

I'd look at the one at Duxford but I'm not going until June. Han on, got a Concorde book upstairs!.......

Nope, no use in the books, undercarriage bays aren't often the focus for pictures!. My 72nd Airfix kit says 93 for the main wheel bays, which is a Tan as Dollar said, and 81 for the nose wheel bay which is more of a sand colour?. Not sure whether these are correct but that's what Airfix says.

93 uh! I have 94, I guess that will have to do. I’ll put a drop of white in it to lighten it a tad and make it a little less stark. Since today is my only day off this week, I may try to tackle the tiny bits and get her ready for paint.

Here's a pic of todays work. I got the tires touched up and installed on the struts and sprayed the wells with H94. I still have to mask the visor and install the droop nose, it will be in the up position. Then I think it will be of to the paint booth for some overall white.

Great work. I am hoping (yeh right lol) to make a start on mine tomorrow.

All the best

Thanks Greg. I'm sure you'll get some kit time soon.
I'm only getting time myself in hits and misses.
I do have the visor masked and attached to the nose

and the nose attached to to rest of the airframe.

and finally I shot a coat of gloss white on the whole bird.

Now to let that dry for a few days and we'll see about getting some decals placed.

Finally after 10 days for the paint to dry, actually just got my first day off from work. I got a little bit of bench time this morning before the wife enlisted me for some yard and garden work. which too has been neglected due to my work schedule.

So on to an update....... I got to spray the hot sections of the engine with MM Titanium and the thrust reversers with MM gunmetal, and got them glued in place.

At this point I said what the heck and started on the decals. Not much progress there as the wife started calling me to join her but I did manage to get the starboard vertical tail decalled.

so that's the progress for today, I'm hoping I can get an hour or two during the coming week to do more.

I thought I might add a few more decals to this today. This is going to be a long slow process so I'm not going to rush it.
