Plastic Soldier 1/72 A9 Cruiser Tank

Post by celt »

Hi all,Splash asked me for a review of the above kit,(never done one before),the box comes with parts to make three tanks,a CS A9, a desert A9 and a euro colour A9.Like all PS kits it has no decals included but I am sure the aftermarket has all that you will require,me I build them without decals.Well let's get on with the pics.
Regards
Celt

Cheers Celt

It looks like a nice kit, typical PS good detail easy construction and an excellent choice of options.

It’s a shame PS don’t sell them as individuals kits.

But they do Splash! :-D (on their website). They're called "reinforcements" and are found alongside the boxed range.

I missed that they sold the individual kits under the reinforcements banner.

Just designing and including a sprue of tracks that fit the same was as the PSC ones would transform the Airfix models...

Airfix did just that on their Commet Tank, it made construction so much easier

...Then went straight back and used rubber bands on the King Tiger...

...The tracks on Airfix tanks has always put me off buying them, (even Matchbox had better tracks 'back in the day')

That looks very neat. I'm interested in getting one of those.

I have quite a collection of the 1/72nd Zvesda WWII figures. These are Snap Together kits, but the detail is exceptional, even though they are issued as wargame pieces. Unfortunately, the vehicles are all to 1/100, small aircraft 1/144th and large aircraft 1/200. Ideal for wargames, but not great for dioramas.
So many models, so little time.
