Just realised I have a spreadsheet - the only thing is artillery are counted in guns rather than figures - still the total is in excess of 1327 :ha:
Good grief!
Best wishes

Just a few more, and he'll have the full battle formations.

Ha ha
Wellington had 71,000 men, the Prussians 122,000 and 107,000 French (unless I'm mistaken), which means I need to paint another 8,000 for my 33/1 representation

A great set of cavalrymen, Ratch. I hadn't realised that you had the aim of fully representing all of the units that fought in the battle. Why the 33/1 representation? is that a typical wargames ratio?

8000 is a heck of a lot of figures to paint - if I attempted that the men in white coats would be carting me away :ha:
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Not sure about typical, but I read the AIRFIX magazine guide 4 Napoleonic Wargaming ISBN 0 85059 178 3 a few years ago and it was recommended there ;-)

With artillery, each gun represents a Battery with 1cm for each gun forming the equilateral triangle base. The edges denote the field of fire. The number of figures is irrelevant with the artillery.

Sandham’s Battery
They were equipped with 9 pounders. On 16 June 1815, Sandham's Company arrived at Quatre Bras after a gruelling 15-hour march covering the withdrawal of the British and Belgian troops. On the morning of 18 June 1815 the Company was posted between La Haye Sainte and Hougomont in support of the 1st Division, under Maj Gen Cooke. The Company is credited with firing the first shot from the Allied Artillery and expended over 1,100 rounds during the day.

A great pair of artillery units, Ratch and the bit of history is also welcome too.
