David did you notice that on the top at the rear of the turret, there are two mortar tubs and at the rear of the turret on the right there are 4x2 mortar round containers and on the left spare tracks?

I like the look of your reactive armour wedges

Yes I have spotted the spare tracks and the other 'objects' I didn't know what they were but do now, cheers.

But I love seeing this sort of work, with the bits all building up as you go. Nice work.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Interesting watching the similarities and differences in your approaches and detailing. Something you wouldn't get if you were both building OOB

The hull has now been re-detailed to resemble a Stridswagen. Time to look at the turret.

The turret has a slight flare on each side, Airfix overdid this feature making the turret too narrow so I built the sides up using car filler, sanded down the filler at the base to restore the correct flare and then sanded the sides to the correct width and rounded the top edges.

I then began to add the new details to the turret, this is how it now looks.

Top work, David. I really enjoy watching this sort of modelling as I enjoy doing it myself and it is my prime reason for building older kits.

Hi David

You are progressing much faster than me as I have been slacking, due to that last cold snap making it too cold to work in my unheated conservatory where my work bench is.

Hopefully I will get some bench time tomorrow morning and try and catch up.

I like what you have done on the turret.

Now I have attached the two air intake boxes, I think I have made them too small :frown: so I now need to add a bit to the rear of both boxes otherwise the cross brace across the engine that goes to the boxes will look too long.
