Sad indeed, but as ever progress marches inexorably onward...
All we can hope is that one or two Tornado are delivered to their final homes in running order for fast taxis as Cold War Jets and the Lightning Preservation Group do so well at Bruntingthorpe... 8-)
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

They had the Raspberry Ripple Tornado but they moved to RAF St Athen as Bruntingthorpe couldn't offer any hanger space at all.
Really sad too as Bruntingthorpe is only 20 minutes from my house.

Just had this pop up in my suggested videos on Youtube; a really nice set of clips of Tornadoes doing their stuff in the Mach-Loop :-D The final run is very apt 8-)
Best wishes

Now that is a very cool and very fitting tribute to the Tonka.
I'm not looking forward to knowing I can't just drive at any moment to see the Tornado at Marham but I have the memories.

One of my favourites and one that will live in my memory for the rest of my life is below:

We had been at Marham all day hoping to see Pinkie(which we saw) the sun was setting on a beautiful day leaving a really nice fire orange sky, a pair of GR.4's which I'm told were returning from a low level sortie in the Mach Loop came in for a very very low formation missed approach, looked about 5ft up when they tooked their gear up and powered off together into the sunset all whilst I could hear Queen's Show Must Go On coming from the car.

Imagine this exact picture with another Tornado:

The show will go on in my memories.

shure, the pilot just pulled down his wee windscreen visor, like the one wot you have in your car.

I have a couple of Tonkas to do in 617 squadron markings. One being the the Airfix Club/Special kit. I guess I could keep one for this GB
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Awesome vid Iggie!

So today was the FINal ever RAF Tornado Flypast marking the official end to her service life with the Royal Air Force!
I was lucky enough to be able to view the Squadron disbandment perade, flypast and FINal shut down live on facebook stood inside Hannants Lowestoft were I found this on preorder:
https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/X72310;

It's a shame they added the F-35 decals instead of the RAF Marham 100th Black and Grey Tornado but I can use the F-35's decals once I am able to buy a B.

Hopefully I will join in with this , I'm sure the F.3 will be off the bench by then. Six weeks is cutting it fine for me, busiest time of year at work.I may have to use a Revell kit rather than one of the other four Italeri ones stashed.

Glad your still onboard Shane!

For anyone who would like to see it the only remaining active Panavia Tornado departs BAE Warton tomorrow to head home to Saudi Arabia.

I want to go but I have a late shift tomorrow so yet again thanks to work I'm going to be missing this one.
