CBK at Halifax (nee Huddersfield) 2019 "Your Best Five CBKs"

What makes a British kit a Classic? What Classic kit is really British? What is the SIG all about and what goes on...from initial musings, to full on campaigning. It'll all be here, interspersed with talk of Texan Bars, Alias Smith & Jones and The Flashing Blade, Footy Cards and Bath Night, before School.

Looks like there are only five of us contributing to the table this year, so best laid plans are out the window and please bring a few more kits than you original intended, but still with the same theme of the best you've got to show.

...will do. Looks like it doesn't make sense for me to come to Huddersfield on the way to Halifax (doh!), so we'd better agree a rendezvous point (or at least schedule for delivery before heading off to find other parking...). See you all there!
best,
M.

It's no good, problems or not I will have to go as it is the nearest show to my home but I must admit to a feeling of dread after reading about the car boot sale in the car park, if this is the new permanent venue I can only hope that future events are booked away from the car boot dates.

That's quite a contribution, Shane and you're putting me to shame. Trouble is I'm in danger of turning up with most of the same models that I always turn up with as I'm a slow builder :roll: :oops:

It will be good to see you, David. I've never been to Halifax in my life and don't drive a lot these days so I share a similar feeling of dread! Hopefully the car parking issue won't be as bad as we imagine!

I shouldn't worry about it Shaun, I can't remember what I had for tea yesterday so I doubt I could remember your contributions from last year :ha:

I've been sent an email with updates to the setup times from what I was original sent:
There has been a change to the set up times notified to you in the confirmation letters sent earlier.

The correct set up times are as follows;
Traders only from 7am to 8am on Sunday
Clubs and SIGs from 8am until 10 am
In addition set up will be available from 5pm to 6pm on Saturday afternoon.

You should also check the final floor plan which should appear on the show web site later today as there have been significant changes to the draft plan sent to you earlier.

Best wishes

Geoff Milnes
I still plan to get there for 9am, I don't think it will take two hours to set up!

My guess is we'll have it done in half an hour!

I never thought about that - sometimes they have kits as well as the usual dodgy tat :ha:

I'm planning on moving my car, after dropping off, to the Mulcture Hall Car Park here: https://goo.gl/maps/hxXCMgMJ9Jo;

They have updated the floor plan but we have not moved. http://www.huddersfieldscalemodelshow.c ... floor-plan;.

Look forward to seeing as many of you as possible tomorrow!
