The track guards have been fitted and the balsa wood blank for the crew compartment is here dry fitted and ready to be shaped and then skinned in thin plastic card.

Apologise for my late start life got in the way.
David That’s a good idea using wood for the basic shape, will you cover it in plastic card?

Life does that Alan (all too often in my case) and yes I am going to cover the balsa in plastic card.

I’m taking a slightly different road to David, I never get on with wood so I’m building the upper body using plastic card.

Re: Israeli Centurion APC Shared Build.
Im now at the stage of what version to go for, I have a choice of three:
1) the very earliest with the normal drivers hatch and little on top of the main hull and side armour.
2) the bird cage version with upgraded armour and drivers protection plus the three armour shields on top.
3) the doghouse version with the large tall castle like turret on top.
I’m tempted to go middle ground option 2 lots of side armour and bits on top. I think option 3 is out off my skill zone.

Re: Israeli Centurion APC Shared Build.
I managed to miss the start of this build but now I've noticed it you will probably find me hard to get rid of You're both off to a great start with a version of the Centurion that I've never heard of. I have to admit that I don't get on with wood either - a couple of our internal doors here at Chez W are testament to that

Re: Israeli Centurion APC Shared Build.
Thanks guys and I've sent a PM to Alan, at the moment I'll sit this one out and watch you two as I've just started another build and have some larger scale armour that I'd like to get built as well. I've never really been a modeller who can build more than one at a time!

Re: Israeli Centurion APC Shared Build.
I picked up a copy of the February issue of Scale Millitary Modeller that shows a good build review of a 1/32 scale Nagmachon conversation using the AFV Centurion and Legend conversion set.
The images show a strip of armour running down the side that the reactive armour hangs off, so I have added a strip either side, this should make adding the large blocks of armour easier.

Re: Israeli Centurion APC Shared Build.
Nicely done, Alan and so far I've avoided Google as for a change I want to watch these models come together without knowing how the full-size vehicle looks - I usually hit Google Images straightaway when watching a build of an unfamiliar type as I'm a naturally curious sort (some uncharitable characters would say downright nosey ).
