If it weren't for the need for the original box I would have collared the 3 in 1 boxing myself but not one single example of the H611 or
H611SFB "frameable box top" kits have appeared on Kingkit since this build started.

This has been a terrific idea for a SB and I am currently collecting classic 1/72 scale Hurricane kits as a future theme, currently I have the bagged Airfix IV RP, Frog bagged 2c and KeilKraft 2c safely in the stash.

Sounds like a good idea David. I would be working on my Spitfires but the Mrs has this odd idea that sorting the garden is more important. I will try get some done later today.

I always think of gardens as either a wasted parking space or a good space upon which to build a workshop. :-D just sayin'

Agreed. My take on gardening is paving slabs and concrete. Do it once and forget about it.
Sarah on the other hand wants a "nice" garden. But it is me who will be putting the work into it.
Didn't get any chance to play kits-wise today. Hopefully later this week.

Might I suggest concrete flower beds with plastic flowers ?

I am currently building the BBMF spitfire IX MK356 in it's current colours using an AZ kit, this is nearing completion and I have the urge to continue with the mk Vb AB910 in it's new coat, to that aim I have dug another Airfix mVb out of the stash.

Ah, that one brings back memories, built more than one of those and still a favourite, especially as it's a Mk.V. Look forward to your expert build!

Mmmmh, your hanging-on to this SB makes me think about starting another Frog VIII/IX...
that kit grew on me, the longer I had to deal with it....LOL
maybe it´s because it seemed such a hassle to build at first glance, but then it went rather easily, mostly :)

But, how to find it in the deep stash? One of the problems of "tidying up" is to find kits crammed together with other kits, just for the sake of saving space...
its Remus wrapper still there...
Image
...but it´s empty
Image
probably have to empty the whole cupboard, if I want to find again....
we modellers have got some "serious" problems, man!

Ha! Found your hiding place! And you thought you could get away, just like that...
This one will be wheels-up.

Nice one. I have had a few Remus kits but never the Spitfire.
Will follow this with interest.

A Hurricane SB sounds interesting. My current "interest" is the newer kits of the early Hurricanes from France to the BoB, but I have a number of the older kits and aftermarket decals.

Same with me: got some CBK Hurri kits in the stash (but some modern toolings, as well), and would be interested in an SB :)

Here is the obligatory box and sprue shot for my BBMF Spitfire Vb.

I have found it much easier to mask and paint the assembled invasion striped parts before assembly
