Would a Spitfire flown by a Polish pilot during WW2 be eligible? I have the Airfix 1/24 Spitfire Mk.Vb still unpacked as yet so (assuming that things go to plan with the house move) I can make sure I pack it so that I can get to it easily once we get into the new place
Otherwise I'll have to unpack all the other boxes in which the stash has been packed to find something else

Best wishes

Re: Poland GB in September?
This just arrived. Looks simple enough if I just build what came in the box. The combined Polish/English instructions aren't great and I think there are issues with the color scheme, but I think I have another source to work from.jRatz wrote:I went poking around again and found a Mirage Hobby 1/400 boxing of ORP Blyskawica.
Looking up this history, it was one of the most powerful destroyers of its time and had quite a career with the RN during WW2.
I ordered one, so I guess I'm in.
I'll post a something in the stash growing thread this weekend.

The problem with WWII naval vessels is the paint scheme changed quite often. What may be accurate in one resource may not be depending on the time period your model represents. I'm sure you'll do whatever research you feel is necessary John and you'll build a great model for us to admire.jRatz wrote:This just arrived. Thanks and you are of course correct. I wasn't very clear that my issue is what appears to be a mix-up in the color-call outs of the instructions.

John the ORP Blyskawica has been preserved and is still afloat. But like the HMS Belfast the current colours might not be like they were or authentic

My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Thanks for that link, Alan - watched the whole movie, didn't understand a word of it . With the ship serving all around Europe & the Med, it could have worn several schemes. I have a couple RN camo books but she doesn't appear in them so I'll probably stick with the kit scheme, which is plausible, once I sort out their color chart.

My kits are ready- I'm just waiting for the start date to arrive, it is a pity that it is not truly a commemorative GB as I also have kits and decals for the Luftwaffe part of the invasion.

For my part I have 1/72 kits of the-
PZL-37B 'Los'II Bomber
PZL P-23 Karas Dive Bomber
PZL P-7a Fighter
PZL P-11c Fighter
I could also choose to build the sole Polish AF Hurricane which was en route to Poland when the Germans invaded- the ship was turned round in the nick of time so that it's cargo would not fall into Nazi hands.

I'm still up for this, probably an Eduard MiG-21MF in the two tone grey scheme.

I have a problem of a different nature Because I have a lot of models and I do not know what to choose. Maybe PZL P.11c 1/33 made of cardboard, maybe a few 1/72 models from the First to Fight series? Of course - only from the period of September 1939.

If I had decals I'd take part with a Polish F-16 but I'm lacking those at the moment.
