That's a good snippet of History - I think outside of the UK during the early part of the war, we just had to fight with what we had. I've always fancied building a Vickers Vincent for the same reason.

That's a cracking build Wokka - nice one! It's always good to see a MB kit being built, it's just a shame they're getting so expensive these days!

After 3 weeks of lounging around and being waited upon in hospital I thought it was time to come home and catch up on some bench time. As a nice slow build I'm going to be started this, nothing too taxing I hope and a key component in my recovery - honest!

Thanks LM and I'm glad to be back home but there's another 6 - 8 weeks before I can be classed as able to have a normal life. Now for the Sea King,

Internals done, I painted the seat squabs for the Pilot / Co-pilot light tan to replicate the sheepskin that they would sit on. Seat belts weren't included so I added just lap belts as the shoulder harnesses wouldn't be seen being black on black. The interior of the cabin has been 'dirtied' up, these things are never pristine, especially helicopters because the drown draft from the blades blows so much crud into the fuselage.

It's all buttoned up now so I'll be making a start on the Head.

I've done a bit more to the Sea King, fuselage is about built and ready for paint and I decided to have the blades folded so the head is done as such.

Nice. I have the new 1/48 kit in a shopping cart getting up my nerve to pull the trigger.

I do like that folded rotor assembly.
