Nice work on the interior
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Re: Willy Wokka's Fudge Factory.
Ready for painting the fuselage I think.
This kit goes together so well and the build fit is so good and uncomplicated it would make an ideal starter kit for someone new to the hobby. As the exterior is just one colour I fitted just about everything to the fuselage that I can, I've left of the torpedoes and mounts plus what looks like a stowed refuelling assembley?? because they'll be easier to paint and decal before fitting.

That's looking very nice indeed Wokka - I do like the Seahawk. I'm not surprised it's a good kit, Hobbyboss do do some nice ones and generally their kits are pretty good - if inaccurate sometimes - as a manufacturer they deserve a bit more love.
Stuart Templeton I may not be good but I'm slow...

Re: Willy Wokka's Fudge Factory.
Thanks for the positive feedback. I'm ready for decals on the main fuselage.
I altered the very basic paint paint scheme given by Hobby Boss for one a bit more realistic. The walkways on top of the fuselage have been painted a slightly darker grey as shown on photos, the rotor blades and tail rotor are in fact the same grey as the rest of the fuselage and I've changed the colouring of the Torpedoes to match the Revell paint scheme.
Another thing I did was to include the rather large Lubrication lines running from the centre of the head to the Blade pitch bearings. I made these out of copper wire and really they're too big not to have them on this scale of model. if I wanted to be anal I could include the other lines and cables but they're all too small and too much of a tangle to bother with.

Anyone would think you knew a thing or two about helicopters...
Nice work with the lubrication lines, they really add some interest to the rotor head

Re: Willy Wokka's Fudge Factory.
Coming along nicely. Nice add-ons to the blade grips.

Re: Willy Wokka's Fudge Factory.
I've scored a couple of own goals on this one. First I messed up one of the 'Navy' decals that goes along the tailboom. It's blue in colour so I was unable to replace it like for like. I've used a Royal Navy decal in black which happens to be the right height but wrong font. I just have to keep it away from the purists, no one will notice .
Next was a bit more serious, I misplaced the Port Torpedo pylon. Despite looking in the bin and emptying out the hoover as well as a good search round I couldn't find it so I ended up making a replacement.
I found a suitable bit of plastic in my gash box which looked like it could be shaped. I used the Starboard one as my template but the rear section is a slightly different shape.
I then sanded it down to shape and it came out alright.
So now it's just fitting the Torpedoes and side door and then its done

Re: Willy Wokka's Fudge Factory.
I cannot see any difference between your part and the kit part - an excellent recovery and good scratch building. The model looks first class to me.
Re: Willy Wokka's Fudge Factory.
SHMBO has gone off for a week to a Spa, that leaves me wondering what I should do. So - more modelling
First of all I've decided to get this next kit built, the Wellesley was in brief service with 7 Sqn in the late 30's
It's an old kit and it looks like it's all there but the decals are past it.
I've ordered some replacement decals from Hobbyshop.cz. They reprinted the Matchbox Heyford decals and have done the same for the Wellesley.
I also made a start on repairing the Chinook. After a good clean it was off with its Heads.
It had catastrophic blade failure on both Heads.
On the Fwd Head the weight of the blade was too much for the small amount of material between the blade and the head and so it drooped until the only thing holding it on was the Damper. I've drilled it and glued in brass tube to give it the strength. On the aft head the glue just didn't have the strength anymore so I'll use super glue.
I'm also going to replace the aerial running along the side of the fuselage and repair the antenna on top of the Pitot tube at the front.

Fully approve of the Wellesley - a model which is not seen nearly often enough.
The Chinnok looks very impressive - you made a first class job of that scheme.

that SH-60 turned out really nice and that looks like a difficult and very prcise repair
