Well, it looks to me like the general opinion is that it's a good idea. 8-)

As far as the subject goes, I reckon that we should base it on all the Dassault Mirages, including the F.1, as well as derivatives like the Kfir, Nesher and Cheetah. I'd be quite happy to include some what-ifs as well (e.g., an RAAF F.1, 'cause it nearly happened), and I'd really like to see some of the rarer Mirages like the I, the G's and the 4000, even though they'd require a lot of work if they could be done at all. Have there ever been kits or conversions of those variants?

So the question becomes, when do we do it?

Yes there are kits of the G (and I think the F2) and the 4000 from the likes of Sharkit and Anigrand.

As to when to hold the GB - there's no aircraft GB on the schedule Jan/Feb.

A Christmas GB perhaps? Maybe running into the end of January, early February?

Just a quick heads up. I had a look inside the Mistercraft kit of the Mirage 111 at work today. It is the Heller kit with new decals. Iirc Two French, an Australian. A Swiss and a Spanish subjects are included.

All the best

So do we have dates that we've all agreed on yet? I can go for a Christmas start but would not be able to actually start until around Jan 5.

Generally, the later the better for me -- so into February rather than ending in January -- but I can cope with whatever dates are decided upon.

The way work is going for me at the moment a new year start would be best as I'm struggling with the Tonka GB at the moment.

I can be flexible on timing so will go with the majority.

So shall we ask John for Jan 1 to Feb 29? Or Dec 15-Feb15 or do we need a poll. I can't add a poll to this thread - Phill, can you do that offering some options based on the discussions? I think we have firm signups from 8 and 3 likelies.

me too, but I'd prefer to start building after Christmas. I have some orders to fulfil before Christmas and I'm two weeks behind with them already.
