Bandai SD VE-1 ElintSeeker "Macross" *FINISHED*

From Apollo and Soyuz, to Gerry Anderson, Irwin Allen, Star Wars and Trek to Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica and those strange, doe-eyed Japanese school girls...to any model kits you can think of, that only exists in imagination.

Bandai SD VE-1 ElintSeeker "Macross" *FINISHED*

Post by JamesPerrin »

So I picked this up for £4 at Telford in a bag; it's Bandai, it's Macross and it's a Super Deform (ie an egg plane) and it transforms!

Image

A couple of evenings mainly filling, sanding and re-polishing the plastic got me a completed and transformable VE-1

No the kit comes with some awful foil stickers and I'm left with a quandary of what do I paint? I would like to keep the white bare plastic and just do the other bits and markings.

That’s really nifty.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Thanks guys, painting all done. I left the white plastic bare and just painted the other details. I largely used enamels as there was no primer coat. I only used a decal for the red stripe across the fuselage which came from some spare decals for a 1/72 VF-1! The eye was fashioned from card to cover the joint seam, and sprayed silver and clear red.

A fun build and for once quick!

I like the Battroid form best. No PSR on that build, eh, James? That must have been nice.
