I will be participating in Greg's milestone scheme group build in the first part of the year. This project should dove-tail nicely as long as it occurs after the afore-mentioned group build.

Having done a quick eBay search for DC-3 decals, I can see there are a lot of colorful schemes out there. Put me down as a possible participant. I would have to buy a kit and get some decals too. I saw that there is a decal sheet to make a DC-3 from Buffalo Airways as seen on the show Ice Pilots. It is an attractive scheme and something I saw on T.V. as well. So that is a possiblity. Also saw an all red Belgian scheme that I like too. So many choices.

I've voted for the last option as It's the closest to RIAT.
Quite fitting as I've previously mentioned my Dak will be in Raspberry Ripple 50th Anniversary Dakota markings that was on static display at the 1985 International Air Tattoo.

Think she'll sit ok alongside this?:

Looks like we'll have a quorum for the 22-5 to 5-6 timeframe only, which means I won't have to worry about choosing between two or more dates :-D
I'll leave the poll open over for a few more days to account for any stragglers/weekend warriors. I'll fix the dates and do a roll call on Sunday.

Just to be clear, it is 22-5 to 5-7 and you haven't shortened it to a 2-week GB :)

There's a clear majority for 22th of May through 5th of July, so those will be the dates. I apologise to anyone to whom these dates are inconvenient, but not only was there a majority there, it was also the only timeframe that came up with the six person minimum for a GB.

I believe the powers that be require a roll call before this one actually goes on the agenda. I do not know who voted for the various options, but from the posts here I infer that the following people are going to be in:

Ironman
Gregers
Lancfan
myself

I'd appreciate an explicit check-in from the other participants, so I can neatly wrap up this phase and put th GB on the calendar.

Also, for the unlikely event that the real world chooses to trip me up, I'd appreciate a volunteer for the backup GBL position.

I want to participate in this one. The time frame is okay and covers two US holidays and the end of my school year. I have plenty of time to pick up a kit and some decals so count me in too.

With the extra check-ins, we now have the required number of known participants:

Ironman
Gregers
Lancfan
Pmmaker
Iggie
Rob_van_riel

We also have a GBL and backup GBL, so I guess we're all set. I'll ask jRatz for an official spot on the calendar.

Thanks for the enthousiasm so far guys

That makes it official, then :-D

Five-and-a-bit months left to come up with a cunning plan involving a Dak and the various bits and pieces needed to make it work. Now, where's that pile of decals hiding...<mutters off into the cave>
