Ah cool - thanks Andy! I've built the Matchbox one, but I have to say this looks better.
It's a bit heavy on the rivets in places but overall it's not a bad kit and goes together well. There's a few about as it was re-released last year.

How does it look from the rear, does it have the gull wing? The MB kit misses it entirely.

I've not seen the Matchbox kit so can't compare. The shape does compare quite favourably compared to the PR XIX when viewed from the rear if that's any help.

Sounds good - I'll have to pick one up. The MB kit's trailing edge is completely straight, rather than the nice gull wing the Spitfire had.

More progress on the BBMF Spitfire IIa. Assembly was pretty straightforward. It was primed and brush painted with Hakata paints. Dark green camo to go on tomorrow.

Camo and decals are on the latest Spitfire. Just need to seal them in with Klear.
