Re: Andy Dighton's workbench
It's a bit heavy on the rivets in places but overall it's not a bad kit and goes together well. There's a few about as it was re-released last year.Stuart wrote: ↑March 20th, 2024, 6:43 pmAh cool - thanks Andy! I've built the Matchbox one, but I have to say this looks better.
Best wishes

How does it look from the rear, does it have the gull wing? The MB kit misses it entirely.Andy Dighton wrote: ↑March 21st, 2024, 9:11 amIt's a bit heavy on the rivets in places but overall it's not a bad kit and goes together well. Re: Andy Dighton's workbench
I've not seen the Matchbox kit so can't compare. The shape does compare quite favourably compared to the PR XIX when viewed from the rear if that's any help.
Best wishes

Re: Andy Dighton's workbench
Sounds good - I'll have to pick one up. The MB kit's trailing edge is completely straight, rather than the nice gull wing the Spitfire had.Andy Dighton wrote: ↑March 21st, 2024, 1:30 pmI've not seen the Matchbox kit so can't compare. Re: Andy Dighton's workbench
More progress on the BBMF Spitfire IIa. Assembly was pretty straightforward. It was primed and brush painted with Hakata paints. Dark green camo to go on tomorrow.

The last of the BBMF Spitfires is now finished. Revell Spitfire IIa P7350.
Here it is with the rest of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
