The A-10 looks excellent, BT and the panel wash worked very well although I'm not sure I would have the nerve to plaster a freshly painted and decalled model with it in the hope that I could safely remove the excess!

Excellent subject and a nice start! Must be massive in that scale - the 1/76 MB version is big. I trust you'll be making the bridge pulleys all work as well. Didn't some poor chap have to stand on the back to work the winch by hand?

Yes I plan to make the winch work. From the looks of the pulley system, it seems like it’s all manual. No motor used. The length looks about three tank lengths all up so that should be interesting to find a place for it on the shelf. It would be a fantastic kit for a diorama, but I don’t have the motivation to build that.

Great to see one of these on the go, BT. I built the 1/76th Matchbox kit the other year and therefore can well imagine how much space this 1/35th example is going to take! You might need a bigger shelf. Off to a good start and the working suspension looks interesting.

This kit is super detailed. I've spent the last 2 hours working on one of the wheel hubs, such is the minute amount of detail to put on. I get the feeling this may take a while. I might have to get some more 1/700 waterline ship kits to have timeout from time to time.:P

Put a few more hours in this morning. Glued the sides to the bottom so its starting to form the basis of a tank. Also mod podged some weights into the belly to counteract the bridge that will be attached to it. The instructions recommend 100grams so I went with 150
Everything going together pefectly so far. Its exactly like a Tamiya fit, so hats off to AFV club for their quality.

I'd forgotten about the weighting! I put a pile of roofing lead in the back of my 1/76 version and it still only just balanced.
