Thanks, John. There's still a bit of groupthink happening with what we want from this SB but most of the changes should be settled now I think. 1/72 AN-10/12 is where we can cap it. I've updated the first post to reflect that.

I've just seen that the Antonov AN-8 looks to be a 2 engined early variant of the AN-10/12 which was used by various operators in Sri Lanka, Singapore, the Soviet Union and the United Arab Emirates if that helps anyone?
Again Amodels do a kit of it.

I was sat reading the AN-12's background info section on Roden's instructions and it says the Chinese made there own unlicensed copy of the AN-12 which is no surprise as they steal everything!
The 2 main variants look like this:

Cool. That's definitely niche. I don't see a 1/72 kit of either of those though, so if someone wanted one they would presumably have to convert an AN-12 kit, which anyone would be welcome to do in this SB. There's no restriction on _how_ anyone wants to build theirs up.
As for the AN-8 in this SB, in the interests of limiting bracket creep, I suggest we cross that bridge if we come to it. If someone shows up with an Amodel AN-8 kit wanting to join, I see no compelling reason why not, but we can probably just wait and see on that account.

So I realised that owing to it being a Nicholas Cage movie, I'd never actually watched this. But equally I realised that despite that inconvenient factor, I really need to.....so I ebayed up a copy.
I'm going to hold off watching it until just before the start of the SB, so that I can use it to get me psyched up
