Thanks.

The bits and bobs added to the lower hull as well as the rear hull fitted:

I've also broke out the PE to see what has to be removed / filed.

Yeah, I consider them the AFV equivalent of aircraft with greenhouse canopies!
You just gotta get stuck in and do them

Never mind - at least you acn have the satisfaction of knowing they are finished when they are all painted/weathered.

Almost a hour and a half just to do the rear hull / door:

I like eduard PE, but some of their instructions can be a bit vague

Finally got around to resurrecting the Marder. I fixed the upper hull into position and added a few more bits of PE.
Eduard supply PE periscopes and hoods. I removed the kit supplied hood but the hole underneath, which is all the old Tamiya kits usually consisted of, was too big for the brass scopes. This was going to require a lot of fine filling and sanding. So instead, I covered the bottom of the holes with plastic card and filled the rest in with filler. I'll make my own scopes from plastic strip and use the Eduard covers. Here's where it stands tonight:

So, it's nearly a year since I last updated this this post.
I think I've pretty much pulled myself out my slump and hopefully can build up a head of steam and get some of the stash built.
The Marder is still near the bench if not quite on it. To get things moving I've decided to build the Tamiya JGSDF Type 16 MCV, pretty much OOB.

I'm not bothering with PE or resin for it. The metal barrel, which is quite nice, works out about £20 inc.P&P, so none of that either!
Any photos of these vehicles, show them as pretty clean and virtually no external stowage. So, not a lot of weathering to do either.
Progress so far.

Nicely detailed suspension that went together quite easily.

Hull and turret pretty much complete:

Not the most complex of kits and went together in true Tamiya style.

Good to see you back. It is satisfying to complete a project, even if it is relatively simple and OOB.

Thanks, guys.
Not much done before Christmas, due to decorating bedrooms!
So now I'm off work for a week or so, I got the main camo colours on:

A bit of detail painting still to do before the decals are added and a light weathering to finish it off.

Nice one, Paddy, that is a great looking paintjob. I'm enjoying a week off myself, I haven't had this much build time in quite a few months.
