I popped in Aldi on The Mounts in Northampton but they didn't have any cheap Airfix kits 😭
I was on my way to The Model Shop, where I picked up some paint.

I've been after a small saw for ages, the one I use is just far too big (no it's not a bow saw!)

Santa very kindly gave me a magnifying reading lamp.
Image

Not only will it allow me to see issues before I photograph a build but it will also save us a bit of electricity. It uses 11 watts rather than using the 3 No. 40 Watt lamps above the table.

These turned up today. Over the last 3 years or so I've totally wrecked my cutting mat and bent my tweezers so it probably is time I replaced them.

In preparation for the Airfix Hurricane SKGB:

Hurricane canopies are not my favourite things to mask, so I'll be using these.

Only of note as I bought these from Hamleys while taking the kids for their first trip to London.

New brushes and some alcohol-based marker pens from De Serres, an amazing local art supplies shop.

These came today.

They are supposed to be a match for BS381C 697, but is distinctly darker than the Hataka Hobby Acrylic Paint A205 Light Admiralty Grey (BS381C 697) I have already used.

I bought some of their Humbrol "matched" paints a couple of years back; the paints seemed very grainy and didn't dry the same as the Humbrol colour that they claimed to match...I didn't bother getting any more ;-)
Best wishes
