Generally the Heller IIC is considered to be a bit larger than 1/72 but for all that everything is pretty much right

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

I finally got onto Scalemates - The Heller 152 is the same plastic as my Heller 269.
I'll accept Fred's comment as it does look a bit biggish, but agree with David that the plastic sure looks nice. Maybe I'll put in the back of the display case for scale effect :)

If OK, I'll bring mine along and do as the kit wanted, a BBMF Mk.I for the BoB 50th Anniv.

I measured the span of the kit. Scaled up it would be 40'3" so that's pretty close!. Length is a bit harder to measure on the sprues but I make it 32'. So again, pretty close. Close enough for me anyhow.

One of my all time favourite kits that - it builds up wonderfully.

David, I assume the old Matchbox mk.IIC/D boxing is acceptable? Having just build one as a IID I'm keen to add to it and build the other boxing I have as the night intruder mk.IIC

The Matchbox kits are allowed and I am keeping an eye out for one of them to add to the stash.

Of course you can Mark, the timeframe will be of our choosing unless we exceed the numbers and need to move this into a GB however ATM this should not restrict the build as currently we are leaving GBs open ended.

With luck I will get in the loft later and dig something out. Am thinking iff I can't locate the Frog Sea Hurricane I may do a Matchbox one.

All the best

OK, then I'm in with the Airfix 2067, 2082, and 2096 (ex- Heller 296). I may also do the Matchbox PK-11.

That'l mostly clean out my "classic" Hurricanes and I can focus on the pile of Airfix n/t Mk.I's in my stash - like the BoF & BoB GB's coming soon.

Thanks bud, I know I've had them, and built them, but I'm not sure if I've got any waiting to build, might have to order one or use one from my giant box of Spit and Hurri's!!.

Question if I may. I have sourced my Hurricane for this build but I actually need to make it ‘topicalised’, is that permitted? If it is, has anyone a tropical filter I can buy?

It's your build and if you want to add a tropical air filter it is your choice, if you want a tropical filter I have spare Revell and Arma Hobby ones you can have with pleasure, just PM your postal address and I'll send them to you.

I also have the MB one you can have - although I suspect David would be better detailed!

Well, the parts arrived yesterday from Lancfan (many thanks) and the Hurricane arrived today, so I am on standby to start!
