1/72 classic Hurricane kit S-B? *** Complete & Archived ***
Re: Classic 1/72 scale classic Hurricane kit S-B anyone ?
Same here. I am getting precious little kit time of late. Not even started my Buccaneer yet. Need to finish my F111 and Matchbox Hurricane that I started two years ago. Had to take my Chevvy van apart because it didn't line up when I tried to add the rear panel. Only got as far as drawings on how to improve the Airfix Bloodhound set Landrover (not a small job on a very small model).

Re: Classic 1/72 scale classic Hurricane kit S-B anyone ?
So Stuart makes 7.
I'd rather not change the basic structure of an SB (single thread per SB) so I'll go ahead and make a Classic Hurricane GB. We'll see how all this shakes out but I suspect longer GBs will become the new normal, something many have wanted - we'll see.
Is 2 May a good start date or would you rather it later ?

The 2nd of May is good for me David!
Just looking at your list - are you allowing 1/48 and 1/32 as well? If so that makes it interesting. The old tool Airfix 1/48 Hurricane was a lovely kit and I certainly wouldn't mind building another alongside my Matchbox one.

They came up when I searched online to compile the list and as fredk has an Airfix 1/24 kit to hand I thought- why not?

I was surprised at just how many classic Hurricane kits there were.

A few more than I realised, but I guess it's an eternally popular subject. What I do find interesting is how well most of the old kits I've built go together.lancfan wrote:I was surprised at just how many classic Hurricane kits there were.
