Airfix 1/600 Leander as HMS Dido

If it goes on or under the wet stuff and doesn't fly, it's in here.

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Beautifully done, Slpash! I built the Airfix Leander as a kid, made a real mess of it. Your model is what I was dreaming to accomplish. Great work!

Well built, and now well-photo'd on its base.

Do you have any idea of how many hours you toiled on this?
.... and are you keeping this or passing it on to family?

It was one of those builds that seamed to take forever mainly as i was scared to try and make a sea scape base, but after finishing my build of HMS London for my brother it all came together.

I find now I’m getting more experience with PE the ship builds are becoming a lot easier and quicker.

As the kit is of my first sea going draft it’s a keeper along with HMS Phoebe, Falmouth & Fearless that are all currently on my work bench.

Regards Alan
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Sadly, Alan ( Splash) died last year but we all have fond memories of his knowledge, skill and humour.
