I lost track - is that the kit landing gear or did you get some metal a/m that might hold the weight better ?

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

Hi jRatz.
This is the landing gear from the box, bar it being a tiny bit wobbly they seem to hold the weight well even with me over doing the weight in the nose.
The only issue is that 3 of the guide rods that the wheels slot onto were missing, I can only assume they were miss molded as they were not present in the box with no snap Mark's.
It's a shame really as I've found this kit to be very welldone for a filler monster!
That's the landing gear and doors completely installed.
Afternoon all!

Hi Ray.
Thanks mate that's very kind of you!
It's good to hear yours getting restarted again, how many of us who started have actually finished our builds?

This is were the what if bit starts.
I've decided I really want a Ukrainian Air Force Tanker to escort the 2 SU-27's to the Royal International Air Tattoo as I will never own a 1/72 Ilyushin IL-76 Candid, so the AN-12BK-PPS with its extra pods and the Ukrainian decal option from the other boxing would make the perfect combination.
I built the 2 pods and used 2 spare sets of pylons left over from a repainted Sukhoi SU-34 Fullback.
I cut off the back end of the pod, inverted it and glued it in to represent the refuelling basket.
I've sanded it to shape to give it more of a natural curved look.
Now to experiment and see if I can scratch build 2 tiny propeller like pieces on the front of the pod.

Nice progress Adam, I just can't seem to get the mojo to do anything of late.

That is looking spectacular! Outstanding progress there. You're almost making me want to go out and get a second kit!
