Good to see Adam, I am ashamed I can't get motivated to finish mine.

I've finally started painting. No pics, sorry, but the grey is on for the underside.
Anyone know what colour the engine exhaust/turbine should be?
EDIT: never mind. I found a walk-around. Awesome!

Also, I was planning on weathering my aircraft a fair bit.....though maybe not this heavily

Yes!!! Do it!!
I would love to see that.
I have been all over the place with my scheme. So indecisive. I'm still torn between a couple of disreputable looking AN12s.

I think I've finally found The One:

I'll make it without the Transliz logo for now and down the track if I can print one up, I'll add it.

A mate dropped round while I was working on the Antonov but hey, I can talk and do masking at the same time (....and eat cheese and drink red IPA )

Thanks Howard. No indeed
Fair bit more done. LOTS of masking to get to this point. The blue stripe was painted as the decal sheet is sorely lacking.

I'm pretty happy with the look of it.
On the home stretch now. It needs to be finished by tomorrow night. Need to add undercarriage and antennae. I've pot in all the windows with krystal klear.
I have weathered it quite heavily using ground up pastel - mainly black - in keeping with a cargo pig that gets hauled all over Africa dropping questionable cargo in the middle of nowhere.
Exhaust staining is pretty extreme. I was going for a very well used look....with regularly low quality fuel and less than perfect lubrication and servicing.

Finished! Pics and a display thread to follow. Good thing I had the model club theme today to force a completion out of me.

Fantastic finish there Vic!
That 1 really reminds me of the unbranded Cavok examples we see less and less often at East Mids.
