Is it one of Sword's earlier limited run efforts?

No. I think it's fairly recent. But lots of butt-joints, especially of small parts. A dry fit of the fuselage halves and wings, was not very encouraging.

Ugh. I have their Gannett AEW and Harrier twin-sticker - I hope they aren't also like that....

Just saw this, count me in. Probably a 1/72 Sea Venom (ex Frog) but also have a Fulmar, Swordfish and Sea Fury for consideration.

I'm kind of looking forward to this challenge.

I don't know much about the harrier, but a friend of mine built the gannet and he said it took some special care, but that he had fun with it.

Maybe, just maybe, I might be able to join in on this one.
Perhaps even get a kit finished. My track record ain't great so far this year.
My contender (I coulda been a contender! - who said that? Marlon Brando?) will be a 1/48 Airfix Sea Harrier FRS1 (afair). Its unboxed, unbagged, kicking around in a bit of a tray box in the bottom of a bigger box. I reckon it needs building soon before I loose any parts. Mind you its been there for at least 5 years. . . .
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Nice choice, Fred! You have the best part of two months, so you ought to be able to make good progress on it. ;-)

I seem to have discovered an inventory error. Prior to this I thouht all I had was the Airfix 1/48 Sea Vixen, for which I had no ethusiasm, but now I found I have both the Classic Airframes Gannet AS.1/.4 (plastic & resin) and the Dynavector AS.1 (vac-form), both in 1/48. To go along with one or the other I have the Airwaves PE Wingfold set (for the Dynavector kit), and the suitably named FAA Models resin Weapons Bay and Internal Weapons Set (for the CA kit). I suspect all the A/M can be made to fit on either kit - that was the theory when I bought all this very long ago.

So I might have a candidate that I really want to do. My only prior Gannet build was the Frog kit.
John Ratzenberger :???:
It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

Oooh, coooool!

I never did get one of the CA kits - and now they go for very silly money...

I have far too many candidates for this GB.
I remembered I have an unboxed, but still bagged, Airfix 1/48 Seafire F.XVII which needs building.
Main reason I've not got round to building that is I can't decide on which scheme to do it in of the 3 given ones
