Thank you, gentlemen.
She is in hospice right now. It's just a matter of time. She is not going to recover, but she had a good life and is surrounded by family. Well, sorta in these covid days.

Really nothing pithy to say.

Thank you. I really appreciate your support.
She passed away this evening and I feel ok with that. This last week has been very difficult for her and for us.
I have some logistics here tomorrow, but should be back home Saturday.

Commiserations on the loss of your Mum. It's not good even when it's sometimes inevitable. Take care of yourselves.

Sympathies bud, not much help I know but we all feel for you. Hopefully, as my Dad says, she has no problems now.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Thank you, again. Death is something we all face, be it a loved one or eventually our own. While her last days were geavily medicated, it was not an easy passage for her or for us. I'm must glad iit is over for her.
So. I've been back at the bench and have slapped some paint on the Zeke. In this case it was AK Real Color's IJNAF D1 dark navy green. I like AK's rendition of this color. I then gently lightened the paint with a spot of white and sprayed the topsides with this through a texture template.
This photo is larger than life size. The effect is subtler than it appears hear.

Thankyou for the kind encouragement. The paint scheme is a bit unusual for this one. I understand this is not a nightfighter scheme but one used for intruder missions in low light conditions. The unit is the 261 Naval Air Group AKA the Tora Butai or Tiger Unit. This was a short lived unit that spent most of its live on Saipan. The 261 NAG was mostly wiped out at the Marianas Turkey Shoot. The markings are interesting. Decals are from PHU Decals and there are 4 planes from the 261st included.
I'll be adding decals over the weekend.
