I spent 4 months backpacking, starting in Brisbane and going around the whole East Coast and central Australia, culminating with the Bicentennial Fleet Review and the Bicentennial Airshow in Sydney. Got to visit lots of air museums, and some other cool places, too. ;-)

How about that?
I was at Expo 88 in Brisbane, and on Goat Is in Sydney Harbour for the Australia Day flypast.
I was probably at that airshow, too, but can't easily find the pics to prove it

Cheers,

David

I was in Brissie towards the end of Expo; it was interesting, if a little quiet when I was there!

I'll post some photos in a new thread of the airshow.

I was also at Expo 88 and the Bicentennial air show for one day, I was working late shift so was able to fly up from Canberra in a C-130E and back again at the finish of the day in one of our squadron's HS-748s as the Defence Minister (who it had brought up) was staying in Sydney. Got back in time to go straight to work!
