I don't usually get this far down the board but when I saw the above post I felt I had to reply. I hate to be the bearer of sad news but he passed away in April last year. I don't know the cause but apparently it wasn't Covid related. He was one of the original members of the Beyond The Sprues what-if forum where he was known as Brian da Basher. They had a memorial GB for him last year which is how I found out about his passing. R.I.P..
Oh man, that's sad to hear. Liked the Auk to even if his builds were mad!! (in a good way)
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

I had a horrible feeling about his absence. RIP Great Auk, thank you for so many wacky and witty builds. You will be missed.
Best wishes

That's a painful loss. His humour and modelling skill gave me hours of enjoyment.

His aircraft histories were most entertaining. He has been missed that is evident.

Oh no! That's very sad news indeed. His builds were the most entertaining and probably the most creative things on this forum. He will be greatly missed.

This is very sad news indeed. Auk had a great imagination and produced stuff that was believable backed up by often hilarious back stories. RIP Great Auk.

Ironically one of the last builds I can recall of his on here was for the Corricon Memorial GB.....

Yes - the little cannon.

This is very sad news indeed, I shall miss his Chef Boy-ar-dee 'Meals in a Can' imaginings, some of those were priceless.

Gosh that is unfortunate!
I will miss Auk and his crazy whiff builds!
As others have said, he always did make the best background stories for his often unique subjects!
