Luft'46 Sign-Up and Chat

Post by JohnRatzenberger »

A continuation of the initial Luft'46 ... with a twist thread from GB Chat.

Here sign-up for the Luft'46 ... with a twist" GB, state your entry, chat with others who are joining the GB.

Your GB Leaders are DirkPitt289 and Kruaxi, who will post the details/clarifications here shortly ....

I'll note as a summary that this started as the usual Luft'46 aircraft GB but the added twist is to include similar what-if, in design/development Allied aircraft that migh have faced the Luft'46 in the skies. I'll leave it to the GBL to decide if real post-war Allied aircraft would be eligible. I would assume that "Nippon'46" would also be eligible -- again, up to the GBL.

Have fun !!!

I've been wanting a Triebflugel for sometime now but there's no way I'm going to get one anytime soon. I can't wait to see yours.

To all, Kruaxi and I are batting around the prelims for this build. Give us a few days to get things put together.

Assuming that we are still allowed What-iff's from an alternative history, i'm in with a rather unusal hybrid that came out of the Joint Anglo-Bavarian-Burgundy Enemies of Russia WOrking Comittee Intelligence Effort......

Uhm... nice, but our alternate history is a bit different... we imagine that the axis has been able to hold on for another year or two, nothing more strange...

I will be late for the dance but I have the Encore Me328 and a Me1107 from someone but I know it was reissued by Revell. I have no istructions or decals for that one but Brews scanned me the Revell sheets.

I'm probably going to skip this GB due to other commitments, although I'll be dropping in to see what people do for it. I am very tempted though. Some thoughts using those kits in the stash already . . .

Planet Models Martin Baker MB5 in 2ATAF markings . . .
FROG Ta152H-8/R11 nachtjager . . .
FROG Do 335A-12 nachtjager with Defence of the Reich band . . .
Revell Gloster Meteor IV in anti-Me262 operations . . .
FROG Ar234C and flying bomb during revenge attacks on London . . .
Special Hobby Hawker Sea Fury during the invasion of Norway . . .

And if you do posit that CBI / PTO is in scope:

Matchbox FAA Corsair F4U-4 from Operation Olympic . . .
Special Hobby / FROG De Havilland Hornet F3 in SEAC colours . . .
Matchbox Tempest II in SEAC colours . . .
Monogram P-82 in FEAF B-29 escort colours . . .

Some interesting choices there, methinks . . . :)

However, let's see how the Boston goes.

regards,

Martin
