Tiger Hobbies have placed our Holiday setting on until further notice. (Our e-bay username is Tribalclass)

About 3 months ago we got this statement across our ebay page

''Your payouts are on hold until you update your account details. Please update by 23 Mar, 2021 to avoid further restrictions. Update account details''

We though it was a simple task to complete the update Business information letter, but we have sent it in 6 times and 6 time they have rejected it. We have contacted ebay and the first line of service centre can see nothing wrong with it, so they pass us to the ebay payment team they can see nothing wrong with our letter and stated it would be sorted in 72 hours. Well this has happened a number of times and still no payments

We have had no payments from ebay since the 23 Feb 2021 and ebay owe Tiger Hobbies over £9,000

If you are selling on ebay beware of the above, ebay sales are only a small part of our business so it not the end of the world, but know of others in our hobby sector who it is crippling.

For years customers bought off ebay from us and paid us via paypal and ebay bill their fees to our credit card, this worked smoothly for 15 years, then last year we had to go over to managed payments where ebay cut out paypal, since then it has gone to rat poop, and fees are sometimes above 15%, Once this is sorted out the min price difference between our website and ebay will be 15%, so if you buy from Tiger Hobbies (Tribalclass) on ebay you will have to pay a lot more. We urge customers to use our website for this reason and you are still covered by distance selling regulations for your peace of mind and protection.

I have noticed lately that virtually all payments I make via PayPal to eBay sellers are marked pending, and that they are awaiting 'collection' by the seller. Sometimes they clear in a couple of minutes but at least one has been waiting for a few days now...
This reminds me of the early days of ebay/PayPal where as a seller you had to claim payments before they would go into your account; the logic being that the longer the money sat in PayPal's account then the more they made I guess. Given that ebay seem to be coming under increasing pressure from other online auction & peer to peer selling sites you'd think they would want to cause their sellers as little trouble as possible
Or, have they reached that magical critical mass that (in their mind anyway) allows them to just say stuff you to clients? A bit like a certain telecoms company with two initials that come immediately after A and S
