More railings that I really want to think about I have now got my bag of .303 cases but need to sort out two nuts and bolts as the two I got aren’t long enough
Thank you, it’s keeping me occupied.
Cheers it’s my first Tamiya 1/350 and I’m really enjoying it.
It’s keeping me quiet but just for a break I’m going to build a card ship

It's been a while since I checked in on this build and you have made great progress, Alan. The wooden base looks really nice and the use of the cartridge cases sounds interesting.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Looks amazing Alan. Really inspirational stuff
If the .303 cartridges don't work a good source of sturdy brass stands is bathroom light cord end weights. Cheap as chips on eBay and they already have a hole up the middle.

Re: HMS King George V 1/350
I’m back on the build, until the stand was completely finished I couldn’t finished the main hull. I have now fitted the nuts on the inside of the hull using two part resin so can take it off the stand and respray the hull then re fit it on the stand and add the three main decks permanently to the hull and starting the main PE railings.

Re: HMS King George V 1/350
I’m happy with the base, the grey and black has been added just the red on the hull needs adding I can then bolt the stand on and finally fixing the 3 decks on the deck.

The supports look good. Looking forward to seeing a bit more in a day or two once paint has dried and it is fixed together

The KGV is turning out very nicely, Alan. That stand idea is going to look great too.
