Bandai 1/500 scale AT-M6

From Apollo and Soyuz, to Gerry Anderson, Irwin Allen, Star Wars and Trek to Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica and those strange, doe-eyed Japanese school girls...to any model kits you can think of, that only exists in imagination.

Bandai 1/500 scale AT-M6

Post by jssel »

Picked up this jewel at the LMS Wednesday. A great "little build". Curing my lost MoJo.

Used in the movie The Last Jedi.

Finished with Tamiya Neutral Grey, misted with a lighter grey. Black wash and a still lighter shade of grey for drybrushing.

An astonishing amount of detail on such a little kit.

They are great little kits aren't they? As you say, tonnes of detail and your painting and dry-brushing has brought it out very nicely 👍
Best wishes

It looks a cracking kit and nicely painted too.

I'm not sold on the knuckle walker as a design though, and just beefy front legs would have been perfect.

I heard an in universe explanation for the 'knuckle' design, it was intended to defend/prevent use of such weapons as the Harpoon/tow cable like the Alliance used in Empire Strikes Back.
