If I ever find time I'll get this finished...sooo busy all the time. I really don't know where I used to find time to do any modelling at all
I stared a century thinking this will never change
As I hesitated, time rushed onwards without me
Too scared to break the spell, too small to take a fall
But the absolute luck is, love is in our hearts!

Dry fitting of front fork stanchions prior to painting. Tank, seat, side panel and rear end (cowl?)
For some reason that I've not figured it's front end heavy at the moment but its that long since I rode a bike ive forgotten which wheel rests on the ground on its centre stand...omg I'm getting old or senile!

Nice to see this one up and running again. One year break - kids stuff; if you look at my Revell Chopper build that I finished last year you'll see I actually started it ten years ago! :ha:

Looking forward to seeing more done on this one. ;-)

Have just applied liquid chrome to the forks so they'll be going into a dust free container for a week so I'll probably start on decals while I wait
Image

First time using molotow liquid chrome pen and to be fair it's a lot chromier than shows up in that pic...think I like it but time will tell

Most of the major decals are in place but blimey that main tank decal was difficult to get it to conform to the contours and needed some decalfix so as that stuff gets sticky I'm leaving the other side till that 1st one is fully down don't want to accidentally damage it by mauling with the tank...they're looking good tho I think

Most bikes with a centre stand will sit in the front wheel, the centre stand pivot is usually behind the engine on the frame, and well, the engine is the heaviest lump on the bike.

I was just working some more on this and assembled the front forks/ front wheel etc then realised I'd put the wheel on back to front... :boom:
Thankfully nothing had actually been glued so was able to rescue the situation

I'm getting extremely frustrated with this vinyl tubing. Currently have a suggestion of the cabling and I'm gonna leave it at that am
quite annoyed really because this last step has ruined for me what's been a very enjoyable project but I just don't find the instructions that clear.
Never mind I'll put it all together later and get a couple of pics up

Calling this done.
Unfortunately the very last piece I was adding (one of the horns) was gobbled up by the carpet monster but I'll keep on looking
On the whole I've enjoyed this build, my first attempt at a bike which I'm reasonably happy with
So here are some pics
