Anybody know if the Cyberhobby Sea Vampire is any good?
I understand their aircraft kits have a dubious reputation.

I haven't seen one, but those in the know say the fuselage is all wrong and there is no cockpit detail to speak of.

Looking forward to it arriving!
If I'm feeling in the right mood, I might try and do it as the Vampire that used to reside in my senior school grounds...I have no idea what mark of Vampire it was to be honest, but about six or seven of us sitting on the tail would get the nose of the ground
Best wishes

That's good to know. I don't remember Mike having many issues with the kit in his review for AMW, but then he's Mike

It isn't as refined as the Airfix, and the small parts make it fiddly, but I don't recall any major issues, just the need to take extra care.

I don't know what's wrong with me at the moment - I normally avoid short-run kits like the plague.

I wouldn't consider the Vampires short run. They're definitely not in the same sphere as SH/MPMs efforts from the early 2000s. These are of similar quality to their P-40 or BF 109 series.Stuart wrote: ↑September 6th, 2023, 1:49 pmThanks Paul!PaulBradley wrote: ↑September 6th, 2023, 1:40 pm It isn't as refined as the Airfix, and the small parts make it fiddly, but I don't recall any major issues, just the need to take extra care.

During a moment of weakness, I placed an order for the Airfix kit, along with a set of colorful Aztec decals to build a Mexican Air Force version.
I'll be working on both kits side by side.
Why do I do these things to myself?
