I wonder if we could arrange some group video sessions during the GB, since there aren't that many of us, and we're all essentially building the same couple of kits. Might be fun to try doing a build and chat thing.

I was going to do my Airfix 1/48 Vampire F.3 that was a Flying Hours redemption but on inspection I have already made a good start to it so I will have to take a look on eBay for something suitable instead.

Mine are going to be a bit different, all to 1/72:

A-Model FB.6 - Swiss
CMR FB.6 - Swiss target tug 'bumble bee'
CMR F.1 - Swiss

If I get those done in time, I do have the Airfix 1/48 in the stash - that would be an RAF one though...

I've just won a FROG 1/72 Vampire FB.5 which I shall do as an Iraqi FB.52 using Linden Hill's Iraqi Fighters Decal sheet (even though I know the FB.52 is the export version of the FB.6 rather than the FB.5 but beggars can't be choosers and I've literally had the decals for years and need to use them).

Gregers wrote: September 6th, 2023, 12:55 am Hi Jim. What school was that. I feel like doing some research.

All the best

Greg
It was XD536 (sometimes described as XJ771 but that is very suspect) which unfortunately was a T.II so a non-starter with the Infinity Models kit
It left the school sometime in the late 80's and went to Southall College but has subsequently been scrapped I believe. It was used by the RAF section of the Combined Cadet Force at our school, but had no engine (we used to sit inside the engine bay for a fag  ) and was never in the best of conditions really...

That's really cool Jim.

We had a JP mk.III at or collage when I studied engineering. I wish I'd thought to take some photos of it actually.
Stuart Templeton I may not be good but I'm slow...
