DeHavilland Vampire GB ***Complete & Archived***
Taking my own advice, here's an idea for a GB for later on next year. September 2023 marks the 80th anniversary of the first flight of the deHavilland Vampire, the RAF (and Britain's) second jet fighter after the Meteor. I was thinking of late September to the end of October - Halloween is a Tuesday next year.....
While we've done a deHavilland GB and we've done an Airfix 1/72 T.11 single kit GB, we've not done one of the Vampire in all it's forms.
This is as good a reason as any for those of us with the new Airfix 1/48 F.3 to build it, but there have been a number of new kits of the Vampire released in recent years, so this would be a GB for all kits of the DH Vampire, any scale any markings (except WHIFS, please)
Some examples of possible kits to use:
Airfix 1/48 Vampire F.3 (which can also be built as an FB.5)
Airfix 1/72 T.11
Heller and Airfix 1/72 FB.9
Frog 1/72 FB.9
AModel's range of 1/72 Vampires
CzechMaster Resin's series of 1/72 Vampires
Mark 1 Models range of 1/144 Vampires
Special Hobby's range of 1/72 Vampires
Classic Airframes' range of 1/48 Vampires
(If you must, Trumpeter and Hobbycraft also did approximations of the Vampire in 1/48.....)
So who's up for this?

Re: DeHavilland Vampire GB?
most definatutily; I have the the Airfix 1/48 and the 1/72 T.II and a couple of the Heller FB.5
And that time schedule suits me as well
In case any one asks; what about the Heller Mistral ?

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

I'm a definite for this one, I have a selection of suitable kits in the stash from the mk.1 to the NF.12.

Re: DeHavilland Vampire GB?
Yes - it was a license built Vampire, so we can allow that.

Re: DeHavilland Vampire GB?
It's hard to say 100% this far out as I know that's going to be a busy time for me, but put me down as a yes - After seeing Mike Grants wonderful Swiss SH Vampire build in AFM a few months back I really fancy building that kit - and I NEVER thought I'd say that about a special hobby kit!
Stuart Templeton I may not be good but I'm slow...

Will do, Stuart! Mike's build certainly is inspirational! That's one I plan on doing, too.

Re: DeHavilland Vampire GB?
The last Vampire I built was a Blitzbau and I have another 1/72 ALDI special in the stash. I will take more time over this build so count me in.
