Revell 1/8th Harley Choppers rebuild/restorations

Post by beany »

Here are some progress shots of my restorations and rebuilds in order to get these old Revell 70's classics ready for Telford.

The L.A. Street Chopper - my favourite of the Revell Choppers. It is missing the headlamp so I may have to scratch build one of "borrow" from another kit.

Ths is the Monogram Grim Reaper bike but I found mine in a Revell box as the Freedom chopper. I have invented a steam punk colour scheme but used the kit decals for the tank and frame as it was a bit plain otherwise.

The Chopped Hog. Missing it's side stand so I will attempt to construct something suitable from brass rod.

Nice and these will look good in the display, Al. I feel those bikes were not designed with twisty British roads in mind!

All three made it to Telford this weekend - maybe not 100% complete but close enough I think!

These look very nice but I really wouldn't want to ride one in real life. I did have a go on a mates chopper many years ago but I could never quite grasp the concept of making a motorcycle as uncomfortable and as unstable round corners as possible.

Nice chopper. It has a lot of character.

They looked even better in the flesh/plastic than they do in the pictures 8-)
